Hollywood Studios

We went to Hollywood Studios this morning and Sweet Pea dressed as Minnie Mouse. She gets lots of extra attention from the cast members whenever she is dressed as a character. Her elbow was feeling much better.

We set our alarms a bit earlier this morning (Doesn't 6:45am sound too early to get up while on vacation?) and finally made it to a park before rope drop! It made a big difference and we were able to get on a ton of rides today.
While we were un line at the gate, Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck showed up and we were able to get autographs and photos. (Sorry, I didn't get any pictures on
My phone.)
As soon as the rope was down, I took off for the Tower of Terror to collect Fast Passes, while the rest of the group made their way to the other side of the park to Toy Story Mania.
When I made it back to Toy Story, the line was not too long yet and moved quickly. This is one of our favorite rides and involves being whisked along in a little cart while playing (digital) midway style games. You compete with the other people in your cart to see who can shoot the most objects.
While trying to take photos of the great Toy Story Mania theming, we discovered that we were missing our real (point & shoot) camera. We emptied the backpack, hip packs and scooter basket, but it was gone. We decided that it had either been turned into lost and found or it hadn't so we weren't going to go to the list and found until right before leaving the park.

Toy Story was very fun and Ross beat all of us by about 40,000 points. Lol. As soon as we were done, Ross set off to grab FP for the Rockin' Coaster, Grandma Trudy went to do a little shopping and Sweet Pea and I headed to meet Ross at the Tower of Terror.
The Tower Of Terror takes place in a very tall building designed as an old 1920's hotel. The ride is in a service elevator that falls several stories. We did not let Sweet Pea ride it last year and she has not quit talking about it since. She was super excited to be able to ride it this year. We are standing in line in the picture below. The line is in the "basement" and every thing is very dark.

While we waited, she said several times, "I am not afraid," which actually worried me. However, she loved it and as soon as we stepped off of the elevator, she asked to ride it again immediately.
Ross ran off to get FP for Star Tours, while I met up with Grandma Trudy and left Sweet Pea with her. They watched a street show / parade while Ross and I used our Rock 'n Roller Coaster fast passes. The Rock'n coaster is the best themed coaster I've ever been on. The backstory is that you have been given back stage passes to an Aerosmith concert and are in a stretch lemo, racing to make it to the concert on time. The entire ride is in the dark except for illuminated fluorescent colored street signs marking the way. It is a real steel coaster with a jet-style launch and at least 2 inversions. My only complaint is that the ride is too short by half.

We were able to ride the Rock'n Coaster twice by using Trudy and Sweet Pea's unused Fast passes and grabbed another set of Tower of Terror FP before we met back up with Trudy and Sweet Pea.
We lucked into the very first of the line for a photo shoot with Pluto, Goofy and a short line for Chip & Dale. And then it started to rain. We had out Frog Togs with us so we just got them out and kept moving, while other people huddled in shops.
We rode Star Tours, which was a Star Wars space ship flight simulation ride. C3PO and R2D2 were steering, so you can imagine that it wasn't a smooth trip. Lol. Sweet Pea also loved that. We haven't hit a ride she doesn't like.

The sun came out again and Trudy directed us to a really fun sound stage set and we got some good pictures. Here Sweet Pea and Ross are standing near a New York subway stop.

We went back for one more Tower of Terror
Visit with our last FP. Below is a picture of the picture they took on
The ride. Ross, Sweet Pea and I are on the bottom right.

We lost Grandma Trudy for a bit, and I got to take some pictures of Sweet Pea while Ross looked for her.

On the way out we stopped by List and Found and
hey had out camera!
When we got to the cabin, our housekeeper had left us some
Towel "swans".
